Ambassador Program
YOUR STORY DOESN'T END WHEN YOUR PROGRAM DOES. IT'S JUST THE BEGINNING.
What is it?
As a RootEd Global Ambassador, you’ll join a network of passionate Youthlinc alumni who are helping others experience the same life-changing study abroad you did.
By sharing your story, you’ll inspire future students to study abroad and promote diplomacy through service learning.
Each new participant referred by you gets you either $100 off your next RootEd Global trip OR a $50 thank-you check; with no limit on referrals!
Eligibility
To qualify for the referral reward, the person you refer must be a new first-year participant registering for either RootEd Global or the Youthlinc Service Year. They must list you as their referrer on their registration form and complete their $500 deposit. Team Leaders, Co-Team Leaders, and their immediate family members are not eligible for referral rewards.
RootEd Global Impact Fellowship
The Impact Fellowship allows students to turn their international experience into meaningful research and reflection.
Fellows explore a topic connected to their program and create a small-scale research or impact project that supports Youthlinc’s commitment to evidence-based service and educational outcomes.
Fellowship Focus
Research, data storytelling, program outcomes, and applied reflection.
What Fellows Do
Collect qualitative or quantitative data, write research briefs or reflective essays, or create visual reports connected to their study abroad program.
Impact for RootEd Global
Fellows strengthen evaluation, program quality, and impact storytelling through evidence-based insights.
Student Benefits
Build your research skills, publication/presentation experience, academic credibility, mentorship, receive the credential “RootEd Global Impact Fellow" and a $900 scholarship towards your RootEd Global study abroad program.
RootEd Global Storytelling Fellowship
The Storytelling Fellowship gives students the opportunity to ethically capture and share the stories of their RootEd Global study abroad experience.
Fellows create high-quality photography, video, and narrative content that uplifts communities, documents team impact, and strengthens RootEd’s storytelling and visibility.
Fellowship Focus
Digital media, ethical storytelling, photography, videography, and narrative writing.
What Fellows Do
Create short films, photo essays, reels, interviews, or written stories that reflect team learning and dignity-centered community engagement.
Impact for RootEd Global
Fellows build a library of ethical, high-quality media used for recruitment, partner visibility, donor communications, and long-term storytelling.
Student Benefits
