Public Health & Service Learning in Peru

Partnered with Utah State University, the RootEd Global Peru program will assess health infrastructure in Amazonian communities, engage in home visits, and collaborate on service projects like school improvements and water filtration systems. In Iquitos, students will visit public health organizations and compare rural and urban health initiatives. The program also includes cultural immersion in Cusco and a visit to Machu Picchu.

Donate for Water Filters

Support clean water access in the Peruvian Amazon! Students from Utah State University are partnering with Waves for Water to co-create sustainable solutions with rural villages near Iquitos along the Amazon River. Together, they are fundraising for 20 portable water filters to distribute in communities where clean drinking water is limited. This effort is grounded in mutual learning and connection, with students working alongside local leaders to listen, learn, and support long-term impact.
